The future of our Community Centre

On 28 June, we held a meeting at Sea Mills Library to kickstart discussions about the future of our Community Centre, closed since 2019. Tim Huntley from the council’s Housing Delivery Team outlined a proposal to turn the site into a mixed-use development of affordable housing and community space, inviting initial feedback from local residents. Over 60 people attended the meeting, making clear that there is a strong need for a community building that is fit for purpose, with many questioning whether the existing building could be brought back into use. What would like to see in your community? Our Community Centre has been closed since 2019. Come along and hear from Council representatives about options, which could include redeveloping the site with some new community space or for the existing centre to be brought back into use. They want to hear what our community needs. Come along and make your voice heard!
