A community meeting is happening at Avonmouth Community Centre on 1st Feb 2024 at 7pm til 8.30pm. This is a good opportunity to find out what is going on in the council ward which covers Coombe Dingle and Sea Mills north of Sylvan Way. All residents from all local villages are welcome to attend as it's open to all. Local community groups will be represented as well as local councillors attending. There will also be refreshments. The future of our Community Centre

On 28 June, we held a meeting at Sea Mills Library to kickstart discussions about the future of our Community Centre, closed since 2019. Tim Huntley from the council’s Housing Delivery Team outlined a proposal to turn the site into a mixed-use development of affordable housing and community space, inviting initial feedback from local residents. Over 60 people attended the meeting, making clear that there is a strong need for a community building that is fit for purpose, with many questioning whether the existing building could be brought back into use.
