Dates of the Next Repair Cafes: 12 Nov and 10 December Since our launch in May, Sea Mills Repair Cafe has held four more monthly repair cafes and increased our volume and range of repairs. Recently we have done up thirty to forty repairs per session. From our original offering of mechanical, sewing and electrical and electronic repairs, we now regularly offer cycle, woodwork, leatherwork repairs and will shortly be adding jewellery and darning repairs to our range. Threat of 5G mast returns to Sea Mills Square

A planning application has again been submitted for a 15 metre 5G mast on Sea Mills Square, just months after a very similar proposal was declined by the Planning Inspector on appeal. In 2021, Bristol City Council planners rejected plans for a 5G mast and large cabinets on Sea Mills Square. The decision went to appeal with the Planning Inspectorate in Feb 2022 where the mast was also rejected. CK Hutchinson Networks UK Limited have now submitted another very similar planning application for the square. This is for a 15-metre mast, it's the same height as the one ultimately rejected…

“Disappointing” theft from community project

Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle Together have been working with local residents to improve the environment at the recreation ground (the rec) in Sea Mills. A bench, new bins and a community notice board where the first things to arrive last year.  The recreation ground is one of the pilot sites for the Bristol Future Parks project which encourages local people to run community projects in their local park spaces. The event sees participating local residents decorate their windows, light them up and register them on a trail map for others to come and see.
