Sea Mills Square under threat again – can you help?

New appeal on proposed 5G mast. Last year, Bristol City Council planners rejected plans for an 18 metre 5G mast and large cabinets on Sea Mills Square. This decision is now going to appeal with the Planning Inspectorate. Those who have commented on the planning proposal previously will have their comments sent on to the Planning Inspector. We would also urge people to write again or write for the first time to respond to the mobile operator's appeal and to show the Planning Inspector that there continue to be strong feelings about the position of this mast. Get creative with your windows

Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle is participating in Window Wanderland twice this year! The event sees participating local residents decorate their windows, light them up and register them on a trail map for others to come and see. It's easy to do, with cutouts and tissue paper, or anything you like. This year there are two events locals can participate in. Another Chance to Bash Some Balsam

On Sunday the 15th at 2pm we are running another Balsam Bashing events in partnership with Trout in the Trym. The exciting news is that a trout was caught (and safely released) in the Trym in Coombe Dingle earlier this month so our efforts to improve the river quality are really paying off. Socially-distanced monthly litter pick

Show your local neighbourhood and wildlife some love! You can join us solo or in your family/support group. We will follow covid guidelines to keep everyone safe. The focus of this month's pick will be on River Trym around the Dingle and Coombe Dale. Meeting point will be the grass patch by the bus stop. Proposed 5G Monopole

A 5G Monopole (18m high mast) is being proposed on the edge of Sea Mills Square by the Addison Oak.Stoke Bishop Councillors John Goulandris & Henry Michallat have their concerns about this and encourage local residents to make their views known to the planners, so please add your own views. Plan to share details of medical records

News

The government is planning the creation of a central data store of patient’s medical records (from the past 10 years) from all GP practices in England next month. Anonymised patient records will move to a central NHS Digital database from 1 July, and this can then be shared with third parties for national research and planning purposes.
